PEEL LEVELS EXPLAINED
Glow Studio uses a Level 1–4 peel system to help guide treatment selection based on skin needs, goals, and readiness. Peel levels refer to the intensity, depth of action, and corrective focus of the peel—not quality or effectiveness. Every level serves a purpose, and your skin therapist will always determine the safest and most effective option for your skin.
LEVEL 1 — Gentle Maintenance + Glow
Light exfoliation focused on brightening, smoothing, and refreshing the skin.

Level 1 peels work primarily on the surface layers of the skin to remove dull buildup, improve tone, and enhance radiance without downtime. These peels are ideal for maintenance, first-time peel clients, or those wanting visible glow with minimal stimulation.
Best for: Dull or tired skin · Uneven tone · Early fine lines · Ongoing skin maintenance
Downtime: None to minimal

LEVEL 2 — Refining + Balancing
Moderate exfoliation designed to improve texture, hydration, and skin clarity while supporting the barrier.

Level 2 peels offer more noticeable refinement while remaining skin-respecting. They help smooth rough texture, refine pores, improve hydration balance, and address mild congestion or tone irregularities.
Best for: Rough texture · Dehydration · Mild congestion · Early corrective care
Downtime: Minimal to mild flaking possible

LEVEL 3 — Corrective Renewal
Targeted correction for pigmentation, acne, texture, and early aging concerns.

Level 3 peels work deeper within the skin’s renewal cycle to stimulate cell turnover and improve stubborn concerns such as post-acne marks, uneven tone, breakouts, and early loss of firmness. These peels may involve visible peeling and require proper prep and aftercare.
Best for: Pigmentation · Acne · Texture irregularities · Early signs of aging
Downtime: Mild to moderate peeling possible

LEVEL 4 — Advanced Correction
Deep corrective resurfacing for significant texture, scarring, pigmentation, and advanced aging concerns.

Level 4 peels are the most intensive and are reserved for clients who have properly prepared the skin and are ready for deeper correction. These treatments work beneath the surface to stimulate collagen, improve scars and texture, and address stubborn pigmentation or advanced aging changes.
Best for: Acne scarring · Deep texture concerns · Melasma · Advanced aging
Downtime: Moderate peeling and recovery

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Clients may select and book a peel level online; however, your skin therapist may adjust the peel level or treatment selection at the time of your appointment based on your skin’s current condition, health history, and treatment goals. This ensures the safest approach and the best possible results for your skin on the day of treatment.

Progression through peel levels is intentional and may vary from client to client. While Glow Studio peels are designed to be barrier-respecting with mild to moderate peeling, any form of exfoliation carries a small risk of irritation or pigmentation if the skin is not properly prepared.

Clients with darker skin tones or those prone to pigmentation, melasma, or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) may be required to pre-treat the skin prior to certain peel levels. Pre-treatment typically includes a tyrosinase inhibitor, which helps regulate melanin activity, reduce inflammation, and lower the risk of unwanted darkening.
Your skin therapist will always guide you through the appropriate preparation, treatment plan, and aftercare to support safe, even, and predictable results.
